Giveaways are one of the best and quickest ways to Build Your List. But, as with everything else, there is a right and wrong way to participate.
They have been around for some time, but to begin with the only people who were asked to contribute were those who had large subscriber bases, which meant that the person who was just starting out was not able to participate. The earlier List Building Programs, which we looked at in List Building, operate by those who sign up for them advertising them and those who join under them doing the same. This is also the way the ones we will look at in this post operate, but they have aspects that the earlier one do not.
One of the most prolific producers of these programs is Brett Ingram. His new aspect is to make them into Tracking Programs. What you do is put the link you want to advertise in the designated box and give it a name you can recognise it by. This is put in where you are advertising the program and when someone clicks on it an advert, either your own or someone elses comes up and you are also invited to join Brett Ingram’s program and this builds your list. When you join a program banners are among the tools that are provided. This usually takes the form of code, which you copy into the HTML editor. Some places don’t allow you to place code but as for the banner code, which is usually has a jpg, or a gif ending. [Read more →]

TRAFFIC EXCHANGES ARE PROGRAMS WHERE YOU SURF FOR CREDITS IN EXCHANGE FOR ADVERTISING. THE MORE YOU SURF, THE MORE ADVERTISING CREDITS YOU ACCUMULATE.
The above sums up why people use them, i.e. they want the credits surfing brings them so that their site is shown to more people. But most people use them wrongly. As yourself if you would click on an affiliate link while surfing to get yourself credits. I think the answer would be NO!

A safelist is a mailing list that is geared towards advertising web sites, business opportunities, and so forth. All members of a free or paid safelists agree to receive advertising emails from the other members. It benefits you by allowing you to advertise to a number of people via email, without having to resort to spam.
