The earlier List Building Programs, which we looked at in List Building, operate by those who sign up for them advertising them and those who join under them doing the same.   This is also the way the ones we will look at in this post operate, but they have aspects that the earlier one do not.

One of the most prolific producers of these programs is Brett Ingram.   His new aspect is to make them into Tracking Programs.   What you do is put the link you want to advertise in the designated box and give it a name you can recognise it by.     This is put in where you are advertising the program and when someone clicks on it an advert, either your own or someone elses comes up and you are also invited to join Brett Ingram’s program and this builds your list.

One of the first ones he produced was Viral Link Tracker.

His latest one is Traffic Python Revealed, which provides a video to be put on web sites, blogs, etc.

List Building programs work on the principle of you advertising the link you are given when you join and getting people to join under you so that you can send them your offers. In some cases you can import them into your own autoresponder.

One of the first to introduce this concept was Gary Ambrose and it is at his programs that we look first.

Like all the others what you do to get a downline in the first 72 hours of joining will be crucial to your success from then on.

When you join you any of his programmes you are presented with a One Time Offer (OTO). If your funds run to it I would advise you to take him up on it. If you do you will be able to advertise more often than the once a week for free members. You will be sent an email telling you when you can advertise again with a link to take you to the site.

All Internet Marketers have their own niche and as you can see from the above Gary Ambrose has made List Building his. This is also the niche that Phil Basten and Jane Marks have chosen. Their main web site is JPE Advertising and under this they offer various other programmes. Like the above they don’t all function in the same way.

Let us look at some of their programmes and see what they offer

Target Ads Depot:

When you join this you are given an opportunity to upgrade to the highest level for life. This is really good value. If you upgrade later you get less for more money. If you do you can send a broadcast message to a certain number of people once a week.

What you do not want to do is put in an affiliate link as this means if anyone takes you up on it you will have added to the list of the owner of the site and not to your list. What you should do is use a Lead Capture Page and ensure that they come to you so that you can contact them again and again.

You can also place text and banner ads on the site, so that when someone visits it they can click on them and sign up for what you are advertising. Whether people see it does not just depend on your efforts as Phil and Jane also advertise the site and rotate the members so that everyones site is seen, whether they advertise or not.

Another nice feature of this site is the fact that you can put your Click Bank ID on your Profile, but only if you are a Pro Member. If someone clicks on it buys the product this sell will show up in your Click Bank account.

Free Ad Depot

This operates in much the same way as TAD, with the exception of the Click Bank facility.

They provide code for you to put on your web site, blogs etc which earns you credits when anyone clicks on them.

Revolving Ads Depot

This is one of the newer programs. As with the others you will be invited to upgrade for life. They acknowledge that sometimes the price is more than some people can pay, but this time it is so low that anyone can afford it.

Credit Ads Depot

As with the other ones you can mail both those you have personally recruited and also a random number of subscribers, but only if you have upgraded. They run a daily competition and the person who recruits the most gets credits added to their account.

As well as being able to email other subscribers they also let you put both text and banner ads on their sites and in addition they provide you with banners to put on other sites. And it is at banners that we will be looking at in the next post.
