Initially these were 2 seperate activities – you advertised and people joined your list.   But lately programs have been launched that do both these things.   One of the newests ones to do this is:

Perfect Traffic Storm is a new site that says it guarantees more web visitors and online advertising with very little effort or cost. More importantly, it promises higher CONVERSIONS–signups and sales. This made me decide to put it to test it out…

My first impression was the site looks professional and clean, with an attractive look and feel. It is easy to read and understand. Joining the site was easy and painless–they do offer 2 upgrade options but they are not required to gain the benefits.

The Members Area is very well laid out and intuitive–I could figure out what to do after only a few minutes and was able to get up and running in less than 5 minutes. Inside the site, you create links and ads–the links you simply enter any URL links you use into the generator and it transforms them into “Perfect Traffic Storm” links. You create ads for anything you want to promote using the Perfect Traffic Storm Ad Generator, which is very easy to use. You can create as many links and as many ads as you like. And they are organized in a logical way–links are displayed in the order you create them but also your 5 most recent links appear on the main page for quick reference. Also, since the link generator is the tool you’ll use most, it is also right at the top of the main page when you login. Very smart!

After you’ve created at least 1 link and 1 ad you can start to generate traffic. Just use and promote the new Perfect Traffic Storm link instead of the original source link you had. In Traffic Exchanges you were introducted to them and told how they worked.   You were also told about those who have been around for some time.  Here we look at more recent ones.

One of the latest to be released in Tony Tezak’s Traffic Power.   You can join for Free, but once you have confirmed you are given an opportunity to upgrade.   This is just for a year, but as long as you remain a member what you paid is what you will pay.

Like other Traffic Exchanges there are different membership levels and the number of credits you are given depends on which one you choose, as does the number web sites you can display.    The same applies to the number of  banner and text ads.

He says:  “brings you quality traffic in no less than eleven, yes ELEVEN different ways and you know this is laser-targeted traffic because we are a membership site absolutely jam-packed full of internet marketers looking to earn online just like YOU!”

3 were mentioned above, another, which I haven’t seen on any other TE is the ability to do an advert which is rotated with others at the top of each page.   This is only available to those who have upgraded.

Giveaways are one of the best and quickest ways to Build Your List. But, as with everything else, there is a right and wrong way to participate.

They have been around for some time, but to begin with the only people who were asked to contribute were those who had large subscriber bases, which meant that the person who was just starting out was not able to participate.   But this is now changing in that everyone is invited to participate with their gift being placed higher up the more people who subscribe to the promotion through their affiliate link.

Many of the new ones invite contributors to recruit JV Partners, which means that they benefit from the efforts of those who have signed on under them. This means that their gift is further up where more people can see it and therefore more people can choose it and thus build their list faster.

One of the first ones I joined was Brett Ingram’s Viral Marketing Giveaway. He noted that initially people got a lot of subscribers but as time went on it slowed down to a trickle. He thought that the answer was to do a series of promotions. He invited people who were already on his mailing list to upgrade and promised to let them know when the next one was being started so that they could advertise it before anyone else was told and get a lot of subscribers so that their contribution was on the first 2 pages.

Some of them only run for a few days, whereas others continue to run. Some will only allow people to contribute
what they have done themselves, whereas others allow you to contribute anything as long as you have permission to give it away. In other words you can buy material you have Resell Rights to. We will look at the different Resell
Rights in another post.

One of the most prolific organisers of these is Henry Gold.    He has about to, or has just launched his new one, which
is different to earlier ones.

Some people say that they do, others say that they don’t. But those who say that they do tell us about those who have subscribed after clicking on them.

When you join a program banners are among the tools that are provided. This usually takes the form of code, which you copy into the HTML editor. Some places don’t allow you to place code but as for the banner code, which is usually has a jpg, or a gif ending.

You are also given a link with either your username, or a number after the /. It is better if you do not use this, but use a tracking one to see where you do the best. There are various ways of tracking and these will be looked at in a later post. Now let us look at some banners.

List Building programs work on the principle of you advertising the link you are given when you join and getting people to join under you so that you can send them your offers. In some cases you can import them into your own autoresponder.

When you join you any of his programmes you are presented with a One Time Offer (OTO). If your funds run to it I would advise you to take him up on it. If you do you will be able to advertise more often than the once a week for free members. You will be sent an email telling you when you can advertise again with a link to take you to the site.

All Internet Marketers have their own niche and as you can see from the above Gary Ambrose has made List Building his. This is also the niche that Phil Basten and Jane Marks have chosen. Their main web site is JPE Advertising and under this they offer various other programmes. Like the above they don’t all function in the same way.

Let us look at some of their programmes and see what they offer

Target Ads Depot:

When you join this you are given an opportunity to upgrade to the highest level for life. This is really good value. If you upgrade later you get less for more money. If you do you can send a broadcast message to a certain number of people once a week.

What you do not want to do is put in an affiliate link as this means if anyone takes you up on it you will have added to the list of the owner of the site and not to your list. What you should do is use a Lead Capture Page and ensure that they come to you so that you can contact them again and again.

You can also place text and banner ads on the site, so that when someone visits it they can click on them and sign up for what you are advertising. Whether people see it does not just depend on your efforts as Phil and Jane also advertise the site and rotate the members so that everyones site is seen, whether they advertise or not.

Another nice feature of this site is the fact that you can put your Click Bank ID on your Profile, but only if you are a Pro Member. If someone clicks on it buys the product this sell will show up in your Click Bank account.

Free Ad Depot

This operates in much the same way as TAD, with the exception of the Click Bank facility.

They provide code for you to put on your web site, blogs etc which earns you credits when anyone clicks on them.

Revolving Ads Depot

This is one of the newer programs. As with the others you will be invited to upgrade for life. They acknowledge that sometimes the price is more than some people can pay, but this time it is so low that anyone can afford it.

Credit Ads Depot

As with the other ones you can mail both those you have personally recruited and also a random number of subscribers, but only if you have upgraded. They run a daily competition and the person who recruits the most gets credits added to their account.

As well as being able to email other subscribers they also let you put both text and banner ads on their sites and in addition they provide you with banners to put on other sites. And it is at banners that we will be looking at in the next post.
